132,000 Pounds Of Ground Beef Have Been Recalled Nationwide After Death, Illnesses

If you have ground beef in your freezer, pull that stuff out and check it! according to CBS 13, the USDA is recalling ground beef sold nationwide. Beef made by Cargill Meat Solutions is believed to be responsible for multiple illnesses and even one death.

The recall includes 132,606 pounds of ground beef made by the Colorado-based company. The meat was produced and packaged on June 21, 2018, and has the establishment number EST. 86R inside the USDA mark of inspection.

Because the beef was packaged in June, it’s probably only in people’s freezers at this point. The recall mostly includes the find grind varities of beef and chuck. You can see them allĀ here.

The Cargill Meat Solutions ground beef is believed to have caused 17 illnesses and one death over the summer. Health officials urge you to throw the beef away, or return it to where you bought it from.
