146 Firefighters Are Coming from Australia and New Zealand to Help with the Fires

I can never say thank you enough to all of the first responders that have been helping with these fires all over California, especially the Carr Fire. Now, there are firefighters coming from different countries to help put out not only fires here in California, but also help across the country. The last time this happened was in 2015. The last time U.S. firefighters were sent to Australia was in 2010.

Fires are currently burning across 1.4 million acres in 13 states, driven by windy conditions and a dry, hot summer.

The biggest is the Carr Fire in Northern California, which has killed six people, including two firefighters, and prompted the evacuation of 37,000 from their homes.
