Well, Amazon is trying to take over the world, people! They will be launching Amazon Car Delivery: a service where they deliver your packages to your car. Amazon Car is similar to the in-home delivery announced a few months ago.

Requirements For Amazon Car Delivery

However, there are come caveats. First, you have to be an Amazon Prime member. Second, you have to live in one of 37 cities where the Amazon Key service is being offered. And third, you have to have a specific type of car.

NPR says right now you need a 2015 or newer Chevrolet, Buick, GMC, Cadillac or Volvo with an active OnStar or Volvo On Call account. I didn’t check to see which cities this new Amazon service was offered in. But, I don’t check off the other two requirements anyway.

Additionally, the cars will need to be parked within a certain area. They also need to be accessible to the public. Then, Prime members will get a four-hour delivery window. They’ll also get tracking notifications. And then hopefully the won’t get robbed.

So, would you try this? Because after typing the statement above about not checking the cities available, I did. And Sacramento is on the list.
