Carrie Underwood and Mike Fisher had the “new big brother” talk with their three-year-old son, Isaiah.

With kids so young, it’s inevitably confusing to have to explain the concept of a growing baby. But when the country singer delivered the news to her boy, he seemed to understand!

Isaiah “was just sitting there looking at my belly, and he starts squishing it with his hands,” she said, according to Sounds Like Nashville. “I kind of thought he was gonna go in to kiss it and I was like ‘This is about to be the sweetest moment. Somehow he knows.’”

“And then he literally goes in and like blows on my belly like pfffft [blows a raspberry],” she continued. “And I’m like ‘OK, and you’re three. All of the sudden you’re back to being three.'”

After that, Underwood tried to tell Isaiah about the baby growing in her stomach.

“He was a little confused, not really knowing how that got there,” she said. “I just told him ‘God put it there,’ and we accepted that answer [laughs]. He’s just gonna be a good big brother. He’s a good little guy.”
