Carrie Underwood said that her 3-year-old son, Isaiah, is starting to show some real singing talent.

The country star said in a recent interview:

“I think he is going to be able to sing. I hope, I think. When I try to get him to sing [though], he won’t do it.”

Although Isaiah attends his dad’s, Mike Fisher, professional hockey games, he doesn’t seem to show too much interest in playing that particular sport himself. That doesn’t stop him from enjoying other sports, however:

“He’s upper physical kid, too. He always has been. He likes to climb. He likes to run. We try to get him to play hockey but he’s not interested. He’s in that time where if he can’t do something, he doesn’t want to try. If it’s hard and he can’t do it, he moves on.”

Both Carrie and Mike support Isaiah’s wishes, and don’t push anything on him. Taste of Country reports that she also said that she’s cautious of presenting her son on social media:

“We are careful. I don’t want to post things that might embarrass him later. If he decided to want to be in the public eye when he gets older, then that’s his choice. We are just careful about not putting too much stuff out there.”

Carrie’s upcoming album, Cry Pretty, is set to release on September 14.
