Celebrity Chef Guy Fieri Helping Fire Victims and First Responders. Again.

By kncitom on July 30, 2018

In times of tragedy you once again see the best in people. Services that help fire victims report being nearly overwhelmed by donations and offers of help from people from across California and the United States.

And once again, Food Channel star Guy Fieri is stepping up to help fire victims and first responders: he and a team of volunteers (including his teenage son and his buddies) have traveled to Redding and to do basically the same thing he did last year for fire victims in his hometown of Santa Rosa when it was devastated by wildfires….he’s serving food, free of charge.

Last year you might recall Fieri and his staff set up and served food to victims and first responders for not days but weeks and just this morning it’s coming to light that he and his crew are back at it…set up right now at the staging area for firefighters and some of the 36,000 evacuees near Redding and they’re serving meals.

It’s worth noting that news of this didn’t come from Fieri or a public relations team hired by him….it was first reported via social media by those very firefighters and evacuees.

It’s also worth noting Fieri isn’t the only businessperson helping out….several shasta county restaurants and hotels are offering their services for free or at a steep discount.

If you’d like to help, you can donate $10 to the Red Cross by simply texting to the number 90999.

I just did!
