This hot dog truck would have been ready to go it it were actually on time for July 4th, instead it just burned on the interstate.

Ok, sorry for that bad headline. But really though, a truck full of hotdogs caught fire over the weekend. It happened in Nebraska, and nobody was injured.

The fire started early Saturday morning, and completely destroyed the truck and its cargo. The cargo, of course, was hotdogs. A staple of summer cookouts everywhere, right up there next to burgers. Like we mentioned, nobody was hurt in the fire, except for traffic. Cars were backed up for hours since two lanes of the road had to be closed for cleanup. No word on if there were buns or condiments, but we’re sure it smelled delicious, along with the smell of burning truck. Ok for real this time, I’m done with the bad jokes. Here’s a tweet from the State Patrol:

Police are still investigating the fire, trying to determine the cause of the blaze. And no, we won’t say “hunger.” D’oh – just did. See some more on the story here.
