Jennifer Aniston and her husband, actor Justin Theroux, are splitting.

TMZ is reporting that the couple have put out a statement announcing their separation. It reads:

“We are two best friends who have decided to part ways as a couple, but look forward to continuing our cherished friendship.”

While this may catch some off-guard, divorce rumors had been swirling around the couple in recent months. The couple were not seen together at Amy Schumer’s recent wedding, and Theroux reportedly did not attend Aniston’s 49th birthday.

The couple, whose marriage began in 2015, have been together for over five years. We wish them both the best as they move through this difficult time.
