Kid Rock’s previously named Greatest Show on Earth Tour has now become the American Rock ‘n’ Roll Tour.
Feld Entertainment filed a lawsuit for using their trademarked phrase, “the Greatest Show on Earth.” The company owns Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Bailey Circus. Although the circus ended its run after 146 years, the company still owns the tagline.
Kid Rock previously named his tour the Greatest Show on Earth Tour without permission. The singer/songwriter has changed all the merchandising and signage to reflect the name change. However, as the Boot reports, the lawsuit is still in effect.
The American Rock ‘n’ Roll Tour kicks off soon on Jan. 19.
