So many questions, first of which is why in the WORLD would someone do with a toe? Why would someone want to steal one, and how in the world do you even go about stealing a toe? An actual toe, from a person – theft.

In total, the 28-year-old man stole two toes. The toes were removed from an exhibit that showcases the human body, the “Body Worlds” exhibit. This guy thought it would be a good idea to steal a couple toes. Now, here’s the thing – it’s not a fake human body made for display purpose. It’s an actual human body used for these displays. The people donated their body to be used for the displays. The exhibit tours the world, and features preserved bodies of people and animals as a sort of display. You can see how the blood veins route through the body, how all the organs are arranged, etc.

We’re not sure why he wanted the toes, but we can only assume a couple different scenarios. Not only was he charged with the initial theft, he was also given a second charge. “Improperly interfering with the dead body of an unknown person” was that charge. That’s one we’ve never heard before. On top of that, an additional warrant was issued after he failed to appear, we’re assuming to either an initial court appearance, or jail in general. The toes were valued at around $5,500, and were returned. See some more info on the story here.
