Martina McBride Being Sued For Mistreatment Of Unpaid Interns

An ex-employee of Martina McBride and her husband, John McBride, is suing them on the grounds that they mistreated unpaid interns.

Martina McBride and her husband, John McBride, are currently being sued by a former employee for mistreatment of unpaid interns.

Richard Hanson oversaw the couple’s internship program until 2017. According to TMZ, he’s going after them for over $1 million. Richard claims John fired him after he filed a complaint to the Department of Labor.

The McBrides abused their power when it came to their interns. They “assigned them menial tasks like cleaning bathrooms, setting up and tearing down equipment and delivering food.”

Furthermore, John also apparently once sent two interns “to his home to check for an intruder and handed them a loaded gun for protection.”
