One of the homes that once belonged to Merle Haggard is currently for sale in Bakersfield, California. Pictures of the property show that the house has remained largely unchanged, and still retains its 1960’s decor and charm.

According to Taste of Country, the 3,600 square-foot house includes 5 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms. Additionally, the half-acre property has an in-ground pool with its own separate pool house. Another selling feature of the house is its location, with the Bakersfield Country Club just a short walk down the street.

The house still retains much of its original, 1960’s charm, with its wood paneling and beige color scheme acting as a window to the past when Haggard and his family first moved in. The Bakersfield Cali reports that Haggard, his then-wife Bonnie, and their kids moved into the home in 1969. Altogether, the family only lived in the house for two years. In an interview, Haggard’s daughter, Kellie, shared memories of the Bakersfield home. She recalled how she had given the home a nickname by calling it the Brady Bunch house, and shared stories of her and her siblings adventures in the house.

The house, that Merle Haggard once owned, is currently on the market for $359,000. To learn more about the house, as well as see a picture gallery of the home’s interior, click here.
