New Twists Are Coming To ‘The Voice’ This Season

First of all, The Voice is finally giving Blake Shelton the chair update of his dreams. That’s right—the chairs on the show are getting cup holders! And some other updates as well.

According to Rare Country, there will be brand new chairs with 1,400 LED lights with 16 million color options. That seems excessive. They will also feature a new metallic paint job and “reinforced shells,” whatever that means.

Most importantly though, each chair will feature a block button. The button can be used once during blind auditions. It allows the judges to block someone from trying to recruit a contestant. Which doesn’t really seem fair to the contestant if you ask me.

The Voice returns on February 26 with brand new coach, Kelly Clarkson.
