No Drug-Sniffing Airport Security Dog Has Ever Been Happier About Their Job

Man, won’t the other security dogs be jealous: A drug-sniffing airport security beagle named Hardy was on the job at the Atlanta airport when his nose got the whiff of a lifetime from one particular piece of luggage.

Officials pulled it aside and opened it up but, instead of finding drugs, there was a fully cooked pig’s head. From a dog’s perspective, that’s WAY better than a bag of cocaine.

U.S. Border Patrol and Security agents say the boar’s head belonged to a traveler from Ecuador and unfortunately was not given to Hardy as a reward. As a health and safety precaution, it had to be destroyed. They didn’t say whether or not the passenger would be facing any charges.

Best part of the whole story though is this picture of Hardy, next to his contraband, obviously taken before the bad news that he wouldn’t be getting to snack on it.

How happy does he look?! Hope they at least gave him some Milk Bones as a consolation treat. (caution: if you’re a bit squeamish, you’re also gonna see the pig’s head…and he doesn’t look nearly as enthused as Hardy)
