If you missed the news, Oak Park Brewing Co. was closed over the weekend and on Monday. An infestation of rodents and insects led their health permit to be temporarily suspended. You can read more about it here.

The Sacramento Business Journal says that the Oak Park brewery released a statement on Facebook today. However, it wasn’t there when I went to look for it. Which seems weird to me…

But, apparently this is what it said:

“Although we have regularly scheduled pest control services, we are a brewery. And, like any brewery, have challenges regarding rodents in a mill room where grain is stored and processed.

Specifically, OPBCO conducted deep-cleaning throughout the facilities, sealed identified entry-points and are implementing improved food and grain handling and storage procedures. In addition OPBCO is adding stricter cleaning procedures, is increasing janitorial services and will be interviewing new pest control companies.”

What do you think about their statement—will you go be going there in the future?
