Placer County Neighborhood Making Residents Leave Garage Doors Open During Work Hours

By Admin on January 5, 2018

I definitely would not do this, even if the HOA said it was necessary. The Auburn Greens HOA, a Placer County neighborhood sent out a notice to residents this week. And the notice says that from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, garage doors must be rolled open.

Understandably, residents aren’t too happy about the new rule. “This will just be an open door policy and saying, ‘Welcome, take what you want,'” Shally Ia told KCRA. Additionally, IA says she will not be keeping her garage door open.

Another resident of the Placer County neighborhood, Fred Waidtlow said this is “an issue that they should address differently.”

“If we have to have this open…in the afternoon, anybody can help themselves and steal you blind.”

The new rule for Auburn Greens comes after the discovery of a resident allowing people to live in their garage.

What do you think? Would you follow the rule? Because I don’t think I would.
