Police Suspect Freso Zoo Trespasser Bitten By Lion Was ‘Under the Influence’

Police found drug paraphernalia on a man who was bitten by a lion Wednesday night after breaking into the Fresno Chaffee Zoo, ABC 7reports.

The unnamed man hopped a fence covered in barbed-wire and then traversed a bridge between the African Adventure Exhibit and a holding pen after 11 p.m.

“Police say he climbed over a fence into the lions’ enclosure, where one lion bit his left foot,” ABC7 reports.
