Reba McEntire Finds All-Male ACM Big Category Nominees ‘Disappointing’
Reba McEntire said that she’s disappointed that all the nominees for the ACM Entertainer of the Year are male. She has faith things will change in country music soon.

Reba McEntire is hosting the ACM Awards this year.
Although excited to be hosting, she did also express disappointment in the all-male nominees for Entertainer of the Year. The nominees for the big category are Jason Aldean, Garth Brooks, Luke Bryan, Chris Stapleton and Keith Urban. Reba said:
“It’s disappointing that there’s no female in the Entertainer of the Year category.”
She has faith, however, that things are changing soon in country music:
“The country music business is very cyclical. It’ll go very traditional with the music or it will go very contemporary. The girls dominate or the boys dominate. So it’s coming around. I have faith.”
The country star told Entertainment Tonight that she hopes to duet with Dolly Parton on stage for the show this year. She’s also excited for the wardrobe changes that she’s planned as host.
