We’re number 2!  Travel and Leisure Magazine has named a Pumpkin Patch here in Sacramento as the 2nd best in the USA.  When I first read this I thought, it’s gotta be Dave’s Pumpkin Patch in West Sac.  But that’s not it.  It’s Uncle Ray’s.  Ever been there?

It’s on Garden Highway (5610 Garden Highway) and features something called a Cow Train.  I’m not sure what that is but I want to see it!  Plus, like Dave’s in West Sac, Ray’s has a pumpkin cannon! (always fun).  The only negative thing mentioned in a ton of Yelp reviews is that the pumpkins aren’t free (duh!).  They’re open 10a – 6:30p on weekdays, and 9a – 6:30p on the weekends.  And you gotta love free admission and free parking.  For more info on Ray’s Pumpkin Patch head here.

Who came in first?  Bob’s Vegetable Stand & Pumpkin Farm in Half Moon Bay.  Sounds like a great day trip!

Oh, and for the record, I love Dave’s in West Sac and Bishops in Wheatland.  You can’t go wrong with any of these choices.
