And I’m sure the internet will still be spotty and only work in certain places. I’m bitter and I know it. But, it just seems like no matter how fast service gets, it still has its issues and is way too expensive. Anywayssss, beginning on October 1, Verizon customers will be able to sign up for 5G Ultra Wideband Internet.

“5G Home customers should expect typical network speeds around 300 Mbps and, depending on location, peak speeds of nearly 1 Gig, with no data caps. Verizon 5G Home is ideal for consumers looking to ‘cut the cord’ or upgrade from their current cable service,” said Verizon. I don’t know what most of that REALLY means but I am guessing it amounts to fast internet without restrictions.

Now I will say that the city is going to see some perks from the partnership. They include free wifi in certain public parks, smarter traffic lights, new jobs and more according to KCRA. If you already have Verizon, the 5G service will be $50 per month.
