The bromance is strong between Sam Hunt and Luke Bryan. When Bryan asked Hunt to join the What Makes You Country Tour, the answer was easy.
Though going on the road meant postponing his own studio time, Hunt couldn’t pass up the opportunity.
“I really like Luke, first off,” he told Sounds Like Nashville. “I’ve always been impressed with the way he carries himself and authenticity that he is, personality. He’s from Georgia, so his personality, his sense of humor, his demeanor is very familiar to me. I’m from Georgia so I feel like I could’ve gone to high school with Luke.”

The “Downtown’s Dead” singer also didn’t want to miss the chance to witness Bryan in his element.
“Watching his career over the past several years, he’s really taken on that position as one of the two or three faces of country music in the modern era,” he said. “He’s done a really great job growing his fan base and doing what he does. I feel like he’s at the top of his game so to be a part of the face of country music is pretty cool.”
