If you get a call from someone claiming to be a family member of Deputy Mark Stasyuk, report it to police. Apparently some a-holes are trying to cash in on the recent tragedy. They call and ask for donations for the fallen Sacramento County Deputy, but of course they just keep the money.

Unfortunately this kind of scam is all too frequent. The Rancho Cordova Police Department has already received multiple reports of these scam phone calls.

Deputy Mark Stasyuk was killed on Monday and leaves behind a wife, mother, father and sister, according to CBS 13. There is, however, an actual memorial fund set up if you would like to donate. It is set up through CAHP Credit Union.
