Shania Twain and Jake Owen are getting ready to star as judges on the upcoming singing competition Real Country. While it took some time to find a third judge to join them, the search is finally over and Travis Tritt is taking on the job!

According to Taste of Country, Tritt spoke about what he plans on bringing to the judges table. He explained:

“I’ve never been shy about how I feel about country music, so I can’t wait to join Real Country to share my experiences and thoughts. Like I always say…if you don’t want my opinion, don’t ask me a question. I’ve been influenced by so many amazing country artists in my career, and the key to longevity is using those influences as inspiration to become something unique.”

The country singer, who’s achieved seven No.1 hits in his career, is also excited to bring honestly to the table.

As for the format, the show will feature solo artists, groups, and duos performing in weekly showcases. The trio of judges will then select their favorites to perform on the show’s grand finale. Shania Twain, who is an executive producer for the show, described her excitement to be on it, saying:

“I feel it’s time for me to add my own support in finding our greatest undiscovered talent. I’m on a mission to find artists who will keep country music diverse and dynamic — the kind of diversity that inspired all of us.”

The show will begin filming in the summer of 2018, and will debut in fall of the same year.
