Son of a gun…I always wanted to try Formoli’s. It was super small and cute with string lights. But alas, apparently yesterday was the Bistro’s last day in business.

According to the Sacramento Bee, Husband-and-wife owners and Sacramento natives Aimal Formoli and Suzanne Ricci opened the restaurant near 32nd and J streets in 2007, then moved it to 3839 J St. in 2011.

Talk about intimate—Formoli’s Bistro only had 10 tables. Aimal is now the head chef at Solomon’s Delicatessen, a Jewish deli that will open on K Street this summer. Apparently they were planning to keep their bistro open as well, but it seems like that won’t be the case.

Moral of the story is, don’t wait to go to a restaurant you really want to try. Wah wah. Also, how was 2017 11 years ago?!
