Starbucks Testing Out A Paper Cup Fee

Well, Starbucks it trying to find another way to take your money. This time it is via a fee for getting your order in a paper cup. Now, it might seem like they just want more money from you. But, I really hope it’s more of an effort to help out the environment.

Starbucks’ cardboard cups aren’t the easiest things to recycle, so a lot of people don’t. In fact, according to KCRA, in the U.K, nearly 500,000 cups are thrown away every day. Every. Single. Day.

The paper cup fee is in a trial period right now, which should last about three months. Currently 35 locations in London are part of said trial.
