Firefighters Woken Up In Middle Of The Night To Help ‘Stoned Raccoon’

Firefighters in Indiana recently found a frantic woman on their doorstep. While she did need help, it wasn’t for her. Rather, her pet raccoon was in trouble after it had “smoked too much weed.”

When a woman in Indiana woke up firefighters in the middle of the night, they expected a major emergency. However, they got a huge surprise when they saw what the fuss was: an incredibly high raccoon.

According to WTHR, the Wayne Township firefighters recently found a frantic woman on their doorstep. Fire Captain Mike Pruitt described the weird scene:

“As many times as the doorbell on the firehouse was pushed, the firefighters were quite certain that something bad was going on outside.”

The distraught woman said she needed help, but it wasn’t for her. Rather, it was her pet raccoon that was in trouble.

What was wrong?

The raccoon was way too high after facing exposure to a large amount of marijuana. While it was noble of the woman to try and get help, their really wasn’t much the firefighters could do for the high pet. It’s also not very clear how the animal got so high in the first place.

Pruitt explained:

“It really left the guys scratching their heads that someone brought a raccoon to the firehouse at 2 a.m. seeking help, and especially with the condition the animal was in, so we hope that the raccoon made a full recovery.”

While there is no word on how the furry guy is doing now, we hope it made it was able to get help. We also wish it the best while recovering after such a scary incident.
