If you’ve ever left your car out overnight in Lake Tahoe during a snow storm you know it can take awhile to clean your car off. Now imagine you’ve spent a ten hour day as a healthcare worker dealing with Covid patients and you come out to a car covered with snow. 10 year old Christian Stone thought that maybe he could make a difference. When a second big snow storm walloped Rhode Island he headed to the local hospital parking lot and began cleaning snow off of healthcare workers vehicles. “I was thinking they’ve been helping us a lot through this whole pandemic, and I figured why don’t we help them, you know?” Christian’s mom said her son came up with idea all on his own. She had a friend, Abbey Meeker go with him. “It sucked. I hate snow. But being out there with him, because this is what he’s passionate about, I did it because he wanted to do it.” A simple gesture that meant so much to the nurses and doctors of Westerly Hospital. Some even offered to pay Christian. “I just said, we’re doing this for you guys because you’re here for us.”

When they finally finished Christian said he was pretty tired and at the same time happy. “I feel like I actually helped someone out and that’s a really good feeling.”
