Their names are Kimberly Prince, Shannan O’Rourke and and Lina Washington. If Lina’s name sounds familiar that’s because she’s a sports anchor here in Sacramento for ABC 10. These three ladies are bringing Sacramento businesses and artists together for change and social justice.  The idea started with Kimberly Prince who owns Nektar Juice Bar downtown. With so many businesses boarded up Kimberly’s thought was to get local artists to paint them. That led Kimberly to join Shannan and Lina to form Boards For Change;  local artists painting the boards that have been boarding up downtown and midtown businesses.  The boards will be auctioned off.  All proceeds from the auction along with the Boards For Change GoFundMe will go directly to Sacramento Black youth organizations. If you want more information or know an artist who’d like to get involved go the Boards For Change Instagram page. Great job ladies!
