Alan Jackson’s Family Suffers Loss
Some sad news coming out of Alan Jackson’s family today after announcing that his son-in-law, Ben Selecman, has lost his life in an accident.

It’s just being reported that Alan Jackson’s son-in-law, Ben Selecman (pictured above, left), has passed away. Details are very spotty, but the current rumor is that Ben apparently fell off a boat dock. He suffered some sort of injury in that accident, and passed away last night.
Ben was married to Alan Jackson’s daughter, Mattie. Ben was also the Assistant District Attorney In Davidson County, Tennessee. The District Attorney’s office released this statement, saying:
The District Attorney’s Office is saddened to announce the passing of Assistant DA Ben Selecman … District Attorney Glenn Funk said the DA’s Office is thankful for every day that Ben had the opportunity to serve the people of Davidson County. Our prayers are with Ben’s family. He will be truly missed.
Despite Alan’s celebrity status, Ben and Mattie were able to keep their lives very private. Although they traveled with Alan Jackson, they mostly kept out of the spotlight. Their social media accounts were locked down and private as well. All except for their wedding, which was just a few months ago and published on “Southern Bride“. In the article, Mattie tells the story about how they met, and about how he absolutely wouldn’t give up trying to go on a date with her.
He pursued me until I finally saw the handsome, outgoing, Godly guy I needed. After deciding we were meant for forever, he took me on a picnic on the Old Historic Natchez Trace, where we enjoyed incredible wine, cheese, dancing and the most romantic proposal.
