If you have any type of nut allergy, this is for you.

American Airlines is now letting those who suffer from peanut and tree allergies to board flights early so they can wipe down any areas they are sitting to avoid potential exposure from previous flyers.

This will begin on December 12th.

There has been complaints over the issue and they were filed against the carrier last year.

American Airlines stated “Customers with nut allergies who would like to board flights early to wipe down surfaces may ask to do so at the gate. While the carrier doesn’t serve peanuts, they can’t guarantee customers won’t be exposed to nuts during flights.”

15 million Americans suffer from food allergies, wiping down everything can’t be done during general boarding because it will be too hectic.

So now, those with nut allergies can hopefully prevent any issues with being able to board early.
