The Academy of Country Music awards are coming up April 7th but, to save time on the telecast, some awards are handed out ahead of time, like the best new artist categories.
But don’t think for a second the ACMs didn’t break the good news without a little bit of flash. To handle the announcing duties, they enlisted the help of Carrie Underwood, and her cellphone.
First up: Ashley McBryde.
Ashley received an interesting call this weekend about the @ACMawards. Take a look! -Team Ashley pic.twitter.com/H5Dh3NKwxp

(And if you don’t know anything about Ashley yet, give a listen to my podcast, Write You a Song. She’s this month’s guest and she’s fabulous. To listen, click here. It’s free and only about a half hour)
Then, it was Luke Combs’ turn
