Local Nashville musician Buck McCoy’s place was destroyed by the bomb that exploded on Christmas morning. He lost everything and felt lucky to be alive. He also felt like his life was in pieces. How would he start putting things back together? There was a message on his Instagram and Buck thought, “this must be some kind of prank. You know, one of my buddies saying let’s cheer Buck up.” The message was from Brad Paisley. The two connected and talked for half an hour. Brad offered Buck unlimited groceries from his non profit, The Store. Brad also gave Buck a new guitar to get him back on his feet and playing again. Buck said, “I can’t just sit around and think about it over and over. I need to create new memories, fun experiences, and then water those experiences and let those old weeds die in the back.”

Buck actually has a new gig booked this week in Nashville. He’ll be on stage with a new guitar and a new start.
