Brad Paisley and Carrie Underwood are keeping their CMA Awards hosting streak going this year on Nov. 14.

Throughout their 10 years hosting, the duo hasn’t shied away from many topics in their monologues. However, Paisley noted that there is one subject they won’t be touching this time around: politics.

“I’m not gonna touch that. I just don’t find politics funny anymore,” he told Taste of Country. “There was a time when it was. It’s just not funny to me anymore. To me, I wanna do fun stuff. I don’t wanna talk down, I don’t wanna talk up — it’s like, ‘Let’s have fun.’ And let’s talk about things that everybody can agree are funny.”

In the past, both Paisley and Underwood have created political parodies of their own songs. “Obamacare By Morning” and “Before He Tweets” were two of the most noteworthy and memorable. However, in the current climate, both hosts want to err on the side of caution and not offend anyone, which is a classy move.

While the singer didn’t reveal what exactly the two plan to discuss in their monologues, it’s safe to assume they’ll be topical. The speeches are typically written in the days leading up to the event.
