California Governor Gavin Newsom has signed another bill into law geared towards preventing plastic from going into the ocean.

Now, I highly doubt hotels will no longer offer free shampoo, conditioner, and soap, however I’m sure they will be offered in some form of re-usable way.

The law that Newsom signed will require hotels with more than 50 rooms will have to get rid of the plastic bottles by 2023. Hotels with fewer than 50 rooms will have until 2024, according to the law’s text. Hotels that violate the law could be fined $500 for the first offense, with fines increasing for subsequent violations up to $2,000.
