Carmichael Student Out at Scripps National Spelling Bee

Samhita Kumar is who we heard of awhile back that made it to the national spelling bee. Samhita, from Carmichael, is a seventh grader that goes to Winston Churchill Middle School, and placed 18th in last year’s national contest.  Unfortunately, ‘indite’ would end her quest Thursday for the national championship. So for this year Samhita gets an honorable showing for Thursdays trial.
