Chris Janson’s “Drunk Girl” off his latest album, Everbody, shares a message of respect to women.

The song walks a young man through how he should treat and help a “drunk girl” that he’s helping home: “Take a drunk girl home / Let her sleep all alone / Leave her keys on the counter your number by the phone / Pick up her life she threw on the floor.”

Janson told Taste of Country the inspiration for the track:

“It’s certainly a compelling track in the regard that it was written from a father’s perspective. If my daughter were ever in that situation, the song is how I hope a young man would treat my daughter.”
