Cole Swindell got his start in Nashville as a songwriter. He’s excited to get back to his writing roots once his album releases.
As Swindell picked up momentum as a performer, his writing time understandably dropped to the wayside. He’s still credited as a co-writer for about half the songs off his new album, All of It, but he’s itching to get lost in writing again.
In particular, Swindell praised Florida Georgia Line for staying active as songwriters. They’ve co-written some major hits for stars like Jason Aldean and Morgan Wallen, reports The Boot.

“I love seeing buddies like Tyler Hubbard writing songs for everybody,” Swindell said. “When did I get away from that, you know? That’s what made me me, is writing songs.”
Now that he’s done with his album, the country star is excited to get back to writing. He continued:
“I’m about to be writing for everybody. After turning this album in, with probably the least amount of songs I’ve written, I will say that I am so fired up to start writing as soon as … I get through album release. I think that you have to manage your time and figure out times to write.”
