If you’re planning on selling your home soon, you might want to go get a can of paint. Specifically charcoal or black paint. A recent report found that front doors painted those colors sold for more, according to TODAY. $6,271 more than expected to be exact.

It’s kind of nutso that something so small can have such a huge impact. But, apparently it can, because paint colors in other rooms can also boost your home’s value.

Turns out homes with light taupe living rooms sold for around $2,793 more than expected. Additionally, bathrooms with a light blue or periwinkle paint job sold for nearly $2,786 more.

So what should you stay away from? Brown kitchen and dining rooms, red wall colors, and yellow exteriors.
