When you were ever a kid did you ever tie a note to a balloon and let it go? That’s exactly what 4 year old twin girls in Liberal, Kansas did. The note was Luna and Gianella Gonzalez’s Christmas list. “It was a windy day and I just thought it was going to get lost or caught up in a tree,” said their mom Leticia. The balloon landed 652 miles away in Grand Cane, Louisiana. Recently retired Adam Bamburg found it in his yard. He read the note and then showed it to his wife. The girls Christmas list included candy, a Spider-Man ball, a Frozen doll, candy, stickers and lastly…a puppy. Bamburg posted the note on social media hoping to find who these girls were. He quickly learned who they were and with the help of friends got everything on the list and shipped it. “We did not expect it,” said Leticia. “This was a big surprise.” But that wasn’t everything. Bamburg and his wife bought a puppy, named him Max, loaded him in their car and drove 652 miles to deliver the last thing on the girls list in person. The girls were beyond excited. Leticia’s mom couldn’t believe it. Through tears she said, “Thank you for making my girls so happy. You will forever be part of our family.” For Alvin the feeling was mutual. “I hear the girls say Alvin and they smile and that just means everything. The world has been bad this past year. So if you can make just one person smile, trust me, not only will it help them, it will make your feel so much better.” Check out the whole story complete with pics here.
