God Bless Dolly Parton. In a pair of posts to Twitter this morning, the music legend pledged her financial support to a researcher of infectious diseases at Nashville’s Vanderbilt University
My longtime friend Dr. Naji Abumrad, who’s been involved in research at Vanderbilt for many years, informed me that they were making some exciting advancements towards research of the coronavirus for a cure.

I am making a donation of $1 million to Vanderbilt towards that research and to encourage people that can afford it to make donations.

And this isn’t the first time Dolly has put her money where her heart is. You’ll recall she used her own money helped seed a fund for victims of a wildfire in Gatlinburg, TN in 2017 that raised over $8 million dollars. With everything going on, it’s good to know there are people like Dolly in this world
