This is why you steal from–I mean, check–your kids Halloween candy. Adrian Johnson, an English father of 2, was dipping into his daughters trick-or-treat bags when he found a pack of cookies. He figured they’d prefer the candy, so he opened it up and took a bite. He thought something was off. But it wasn’t until the 2nd bite he realized they were disgusting. Then he checked the label and discovered they had been expired for 18 years!
“Think I’ve just eaten a biscuit (from a packet given to our kids while trick or treating) that went out of date 17 [sic] years ago,” Johnson tweeted. “Not joking.”
He later added: “Don’t think this specific brand exists anymore. Is there a doctor in the house?”
