Props to Devin Dawson. His 7-city California Smoke tour comes to Sacramento tonight at Ace of Spades.

Devin, who of course grew up in Orangevale, says he’d been trying to figure out a way to help victims of last summer’s brutal wildfires. He did team up with fellow Californians Jon Pardi, Gary Allan and Brett Young for last fall’s “Cali Love” t-shirts, which are still being sold and benefiting fire victims. But Devin wanted to do something more and so came up with a short tour of his home state, with proceeds from every show going to the California Fire Foundation. That’s 100%. Dawson told Nash Country Daily,

One of the reasons I’m stoked about this tour is because, as a California native, it’s a place very close to my heart, so I always jump at the chance to be back there. I don’t get to visit my family who still live there as often as I’d like, much less have an opportunity to play multiple shows throughout the state. The fact that all the proceeds from these shows will also go toward helping people affected by the California wildfires makes it that much more special to me.

Tickets are only $28 and available now, while they last, via Ace of Spades website. Want ’em? Click here

And again, nice job to Devin for giving back so generously.
