Did You Get A Parking Ticket In October? You Might Be In For A Refund!

If you used an app to pay for parking, you should definitely check if you’re eligible.

Apparently there was a 16 day period where the city issued “an undetermined number of parking meter tickets…when the city’s mobile app cell service went down” according to Sac Bee.

If you received a ticket between Oct. 10 and Oct. 26 while using the Parkmobile app, you should contact the city to see if your ticket was actually issued incorrectly.

The city lost some of its cell service, which interrupted the payments. The City parking Manager became aware after several callers complained about tickets even though they had paid through the app.

An estimated 336 payments were affected, but more citations could have been issued. If you think you might be entitled to a refund, click here to check.
