Dogs. We don’t deserve them. A cattle dog known as Baby Dog stood by his owners side for 2 days in the snow in Foresthill. In fact Baby Dog laid on his chest to keep him warm. His owner, David DeShon didn’t make it. Baby Dog was taken to the Placer County Animal Shelter along with his companion dog, Buddy. The story of Baby Dog not leaving her owner’s side went viral and calls came pouring in from all over the country. A donor from Ohio paid for Baby Dog’s adoption fees and supplies. Finally Lisa Lomelli and her husband went to see Baby Dog and ended up taking him home. Lisa said, “My mom had been going through cancer for a year and is just finishing up chemo and lost her lab a year ago and is very lonely.” Baby Dog jumped in the Lomelli’s car and was very happy to be headed to a new home. Check the story and video here. By the way, Buddy is still waiting to be adopted. If you’re interested their number is 530 886 5500
