Dustin Lynch knew he was sitting on something amazing when he finished writing “Good Girl.”

It’s funny, because when he wrote the song, he wasn’t even planning on recording new tracks. Lynch was sitting around with his co-writers Justin Ebach and Andy Albert, when they produced the tune. He told Taste of Country:

“It came out of nowhere. Honestly, I was just writing because I love to write and I need to. My muscle needs to create and write. I had a couple buddies out on tour, we were on the Brad Paisley tour. They were out writing songs with me and ‘Good Girl’ happened out of nowhere. Since that day it has raised its hand and said, ‘Me, me, me! Put me out. I need to be heard this summer.'”

Thus, Lynch rushed into the studio and negotiated with the record label to have it out in time for the summer heat.
