When Jean Ann Crenshaw went to a Garth Brooks concert on December 9th, she probably wasn’t expecting to visit the hospital during the show! Unfortunately for her, that’s exactly what happened…

According to Billboard, the concert featured a mid-show celebration hosted by Trisha Yearwood. In honor of Brooks having his 25th No. 1 Country Airplay single, balloons and confetti were supposed to fall on the crowd.

However, a mistake occurred and the balloons never fell. Though crew members used a metal pole to prod the netting, nothing happened. Somehow though, the balloons eventually managed to fall…….. along with the metal pole.

Where did it all land?

The balloons fell across the first 25 rows, while the pole smacked directly into Crenshaw’s face…

The 47-year-old suffered a fractured nose and several facial lacerations, the most severe requiring five stitches.

Although that may seem pretty bad, it could have been even worse; doctors informed her the pole came within half an inch of piercing her eye.

This definitely not what Garth Brooks was wishing for during this tour
