Four iconic buildings in Sacramento just became historic landmarks!

Gunther’s Ice Cream, the Iva Gard Shepard Garden and Arts Center, the Sacramento County Courthouse, and the Freeport Chase Bank are now Sacramento Historic Landmarks. According to CBS13, the Sacramento City Clerk confirmed the news on Tuesday night.

Why did it take this long to add the courthouse? As well as Gunther’s, of course. The new locations are new additions to a growing list of official landmarks in Sacramento. Some notable ones include Sutter’s Fort and the beautiful Crest Theater. So the next time you’re showing out-of-towners around, be sure to hit up the new historic landmarks!
