Chemical Used In McDonald’s Fries May Cure Baldness

Like I needed another reason to loved McDonald’s fries. According to MSN, a research team in Japan has successfully used dimethylpolysiloxane to regrow hair on mice. The chemical used to combat baldness is the same one used in fries to stop oil frothing.
And tests show that the process is likely to be as successful when transferred to human skin cells.
Professor Junji Fukuda said, “This simple method is very robust and promising. We hope that this technique will improve human hair regenerative therapy to treat hair loss such as androgenic alopecia.”
Now, apparently just eating McDonald’s fries won’t help grow hair back or cure baldness. Also, sadly, hair does not grow back as french fries. Which is a bummer, because that would be awesome.
