Funnel Cloud Spotted By Sacramento International Airport
I saw lightning strike today and I thought that was neat. But apparently a funnel cloud was spotted earlier this morning near SMF.

Viewer Dave Cottrell sent us this photo of a funnel cloud near @SacIntlAirport. We confirmed with the @NWSSacramento that it is indeed a funnel cloud, and we could see many more pop up throughout the valley today! @CBSSacramento @GoodDaySac pic.twitter.com/ypQo8pRaea

So, I grew up in Indiana and the weather sirens were near my house. As soon as they went off, it was straight to the basement for Jenna. I don’t have a basement now and any mention of a tornado scares the living daylights out of me.
It doesn’t seem like the cloud actually turned into a tornado though, which THANK GOODNESS. But, that’s not where the craziness stops. Our engineer sent me this video on Garden Highway earlier:
Plus, there was hail in lots of places including West Sacramento.

It looks like the rain will continue for a while longer, but should taper off by the evening. As least, according to my phone. If you are driving or doing stuff outside, use caution!
