Great White Sharks Spotted Off Northern California Coast

Officials are warning beachgoers to use caution.

If you’re headed to the ocean to cool off this weekend, be cautious of what’s been spotted swimming in the water!

SFGate.comsays that there have been multiple reports of great white shark sightings off the coast of Half Moon Bay. In addition to eyewitness reports, pilots flying the coast have also spotted the sharks. The sharks were spotted about 40 yards off of Francis Beach.

“Officials are warning beachgoers to use caution.” 

The article says that great whites are common in this area as they return to feed here at the Farallon Islands following their migration into deep water.
